What to expect when you come for your appointment and what we are doing to reduce the risk of infection.

Before your appointment you will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19.

When you arrive for you appointment, I will greet you at the door, perform the treatment, book your next appointment if required, take payment and show you out of the building. I will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) while treating patients (surgical masks, plastic aprons and nitrile gloves).  Upon entering the building you will be asked to sanitize your hands using 60% alcohol based antibacterial gel.  There is different furniture in the treatment room – to ensure that it is easier to clean and there is less of it. Please try not to touch anything that you don’t need to!

Appointments will be spaced to give time for cleaning the room. The plinth, desk, door handles, chairs, taps and floors will be cleaned.  To reduce the risk of infection plastic pillow cases will be used.  The room will be aired for 20 minutes after each patient.  I will change my surgical mask, apron and gloves after each patient.  Please wear a mask when coming to the clinic.  Please come alone if possible and wait in the car until you are called in.  All of this is being put in place to reduce the risk of patient to patient contact and to ensure I maintain the current government guidelines to decrease the spread of the disease.

If you have a cough, a sore throat, a temperature or feeling unwell, loss of taste or smell or have been in contact with someone with any of these symptoms within the last 14 days, please postpone your appointment and do not come into the clinic. (There is no cancellation fee).  If after visiting the clinic within 2-3 days you develop symptoms of Covid-19, please phone the clinic and let me know.  Please- self isolate for 14 days and call 111 if your symptoms get worse.
